Principal Pool - Application Process

Thank you for your interest in leadership in the School District of Lee County. Our Principal Pool opens in the Spring of each year.

2024-2025 PRINCIPAL POOL ASSESSMENT DATE

January 18, 2025 – January 31, 2025 – Principal Pool opens in Employment Opportunities.

January 31, 2025 (11:59pm) –Deadline to apply and submit required documents as a SINGLE file in PeopleSoft (see Step 2 below). Documents will only be accepted in PeopleSoft. Candidates are encouraged to apply prior to the deadline to ensure proper document submission.

February 14, 2025 – Principal Pool Interview Assessment will be held at the Lee County Public Education Center.

February 21, 2025 (end of day) – Candidates notified of Principal Pool Assessment Results.

Application Process

1. Principal Pool application opens – candidate applies through employment opportunities for the job opening "Pool-Principal."
2. Candidate submits the following documents as a single file in PeopleSoft.
3. • Cover letter
   • Resume
   • Last three evaluations as an administrator that are Effective/Highly Effective
   • Letter of recommendation from current principal
   • Copy of Florida Certificate reflecting “School Principal All Levels”
4. Applications and required documents are reviewed.
5. Email invitations to attend the Principal Pool Assessment are sent to candidates who meet the requirements.
6. Principal Pool assessment is held at the Lee County Public Education Center.
7. Email notifications will be sent to all candidates with the outcome of the assessment.
